PokéPlate: A Pokémon Cookbook Zine is a charity-based cookbook with a Pokémon theme! We'll be exploring this theme with different recipes across 5 different sections: Beverages, Snacks, Sides, Entrees, and Desserts. This zine will be sure to fill your bellies with fun, colorful, and scrumptious content from original recipes, artwork, and writing! We can't wait to get cooking! 🥢

WHAT IS A FANZINE OR ZINE?
A fanzine or zine is a collection of works created by fans revolving around a certain theme or fandom. It's usually produced as a book (sometimes with accompanying merchandise) or a digital PDF. In our case, this project doubles as a cookbook, filled with art and writing like in other fanzines, but also includes original recipes!WHAT IS THIS ZINE ABOUT?
PokéPlate is a Pokémon-themed cookbook! We'd love to see all kinds of recipes, stories, and art related to different foods, whether that be in-universe or in our own lives!IS THIS ZINE FOR CHARITY OR PROFIT?
PokéPlate will be for charity! The charity will be food-based, but will be voted on by contributors and mods together. 🥢DO THE MODS RUNNING THIS PROJECT HAVE EXPERIENCE?

Absolutely not. No use of AI will be associated with this zine. For contributors, if we find out that you're using AI at any time, you will be immediately removed from the project and banned from the mods' future projects.

WHAT ARE THE ZINE SPECS?
This will be decided on when we have the interest check results. 🫐CAN WE USE OLD ARTWORK IN THE ZINE?
All pieces should be new, original works specifically created for the zine.ONCE THE ZINE IS FINISHED, WILL I STILL HAVE THE RIGHTS TO MY WORK?
Yes! We ask that while the zine is still actively going through creation periods, preorders, leftover sales, etc, that you do not share, post, or sell your work until the mods have given you the go ahead to do so. But you will retain all rights to your work upon the zine's completion and the zine will not retain its rights to distribute your work.WHY DO CHEFS HAVE A DIFFERENT SCHEDULE?
Our project is aiming to have art of the recipes instead of having photographs! This means we need the chefs to have made some progress on their recipes for the recipe artists to then be able to work with as well. Chefs will finish a bit earlier to allow recipe artists that time to finish up in time for final submissions with artists and writers.WHAT ARE RECIPE ARTISTS?
Recipe artists will be making art for the recipes! They will be collaborating with our chefs to help bring some life to the pages the recipes will be formatted on. Some examples of this can be found here and here. The goal is to have art of the food and ingredients, even paired with Pokémon, instead of just photographs!DO I NEED TO HAVE EXPERIENCE PRODUCING MERCH IN ORDER TO BE A MERCH ARTIST?
While it would be helpful, it's not a requirement for you to have made physical merch before! The mods will be the ones handling the actual merch production, so we can work with you to make sure your design is following the required specifications.DO I NEED TO SUPPLY THE MERCH MYSELF IF I AM ACCEPTED AS A MERCH ARTIST?
No! The mods will have already begun deciding on manufacturers to use by the time you join. You do not need to supply the merch––the mods will give you the specs to work under and we will handle all purchasing and manufacturing for the items.HOW WILL MODS AND CONTRIBUTORS COMMUNICATE?
Our main mode of contact is through Discord and email on occassion. We do require that you have a Discord account so that you can join our zine's server; we will frequently make announcements and updates there. We will, however, also send out emails for the more important announcements. Also, any important or sensitive information (such as emails and addresses) will remain completely confidential from other contributors. Only the mod team will be able to view this information. 🍱WILL CONTRIBUTORS RECEIVE A FREE COPY OF THE ZINE?
All contributors will receive the digital zine for free! Of course, our goal is to sell enough of the zine to compensate all contributors with full bundles as thanks for contributing their time and efforts. This is just dependent on sales.WILL OC POKEMON BE ALLOWED?
No, all Pokémon must exist in canon.ARE OC NON-POKEMON CHARACTERS/TRAINERS ALLOWED?
Yes, OC characters and Trainers are allowed, but your piece should still primarily focus on the food and the Pokémon!IS NSFW CONTENT ALLOWED?
No, our zine will be completely SFW and should be accessible to all ages! 🩷AM I ALLOWED TO DROP OUT IF I AM NO LONGER ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ZINE?
Absolutely. If you need to drop out for any reason, just be sure to let the mods know. We just ask that you inform us ASAP, so we can try to contact a pinch-hitter to fill your slot.
